The Erskine festive bash 2006

This year Erskine decided to invite all their pals for a big bash at the excellent Moorish restaurant adjacent to Hyde Park, Leeds.

Piles of clients, associates, team members and pals descended upon the ‘compact’ restaurant at eight o’clock. With the unintentional exclusion of Angela, myself who were lost and the mighty Deano who was still waiting for her cab!

As you would expect at an Erskine event there was a considerable quantity of alcohol consumed by the non Muslim contingent of the party. The Muslim contingent however made up for it by troughing out on vast quantities of halal meat and chicken with buckets of mint tea.

Besides the food a few Shisha pipes were fired up which resulted in lots of coughing and spluttering. Kada, the master, showed us how it should be done.

Our new man Colly of ErskineDesign doesn’t like anything spicy and we were amused when beetroot colour after nibbling at some of the seemingly benign dishes on offer (unfortunately we didn’t capture the moment with a camera).

Music was provided by a great guitar player and singer (we never took their names) who during the course of the evening were joined by Kada and myself on guitar.

The food was sensational and the company thoroughly engaging… It was a tremendous evening and everyone went away totally stuffed. Angela and I had the pleasure of our sons driving on the way home!!!

Thanks to Kada and all his team at the restaurant. But what’s going to happen next year?
