Beyond masterplanning
We don’t believe masterplanning works. The design process should come quite a way down the line when regenerating our towns, cities and countryside.
Over the years Erskine have developed a way of inclusively regenerating spaces and places which is led by socio-economics as opposed to design. We totally believe in beautiful design (that’s why we work with some of the UK’s greatest architects) but proposals must based on thorough engagement and research. This is known as ‘Beyond Masterplanning™’.
Every clients project is different but the process illustrated above provides the starting point for any built environment project, whether its the building of a children’s centre or the masterplan of a six mile river corridor!
